Samuel L. Ladu is a highly decorated U.S. Army veteran and security specialist whose career in high-stakes diplomacy and protection directly fuels the mission of VCRP’s Veteran Mediation Corps. Having served as a personal interpreter and cultural advisor to world leaders—including President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden—Samuel brings an elite level of linguistic precision and relational expertise to VCRP. His experience leading over 200 combat missions and facilitating peaceful outreach within Iraqi civilian communities aligns perfectly with VCRP’s commitment to building trust and fostering community resilience. As a Director, Samuel utilizes his background in strategic planning and conflict resolution to guide veterans in transitioning their tactical skills into effective civic mediation both in Nebraska and internationally.
Education
Samuel L. Ladu is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and security specialist whose background in high-level diplomacy directly supports VCRP’s Veteran Mediation Corps. Having served as a personal interpreter for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, Samuel brings elite linguistic and relational expertise to VCRP’s mission of building community trust.
His professional foundation includes Arabic Linguistics from the Defense Language Institute and studies in Criminal Justice. Samuel previously managed an 8,000-person linguist program and led over 200 combat missions, equipping him with the strategic oversight and conflict resolution skills essential for leading VCRP’s mediation and resilience initiatives.
